SEBI to Only Accept Complaints through Online Platform

SEBI’s web-based centralised grievance redressal system known as SCORES has been in operation for 9 years. A new mobile app was launched in March.
SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) has asked investors to lodge complaints only through its web-based centralised grievance redressal system, known as SCORES (SEBI Complaints Redress System).
SCORES was launched in June 2011 as a platform to help investors lodge their complaints against listed companies, intermediaries and market infrastructure institutions online. In a March 2018 circular, SEBI said investors were required to register on SCORES before lodging complaints.
According to the latest circular, complaints sent by email will no longer be processed.
“SCORES has been in existence for 9 years. With the launch of mobile app, it has become much more easier for investors to lodge their complaint,” SEBI said. “All investors are urged to lodge their complaint directly on SCORES themselves.”
The mobile application was launched in March 2020.
SEBI also said that complaints lodged via SCORES help to maintain a proper audit trail, which is essential for future references.
