SGX FX Sets New Daily Average Volume Record in November

Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) has released its market statistics for the month of November 2023, indicating that both commodity derivatives and SGX FX delivered a strong performance during the period.
SGX FX, Asia's most liquid FX futures exchange, saw FX futures traded volume in November to over 4 million contracts, rising 25% from October 2023. The average daily volume from its listed futures and OTC offerings achieved a new record of US$160 billion, a significant increase from the preceding months.
Total derivatives traded volume for the month came in at 22.4 million contracts, up 8% month-on-month. Commodity derivatives volume set a new record, jumping 48% on a yearly basis to 5.4 million contracts. Besides, SGX Commodities’ flagship iron ore derivatives suite booked its second highest monthly volume ever.
On SGX Fixed Income, Asia’s leading international bond marketplace, the amount issued from 57 new bond listings reached S$27.3 billion in November.
