Shift4 Payments, a leading provider of integrated payment processing solutions, has unveiled a new, contactless payment technology called QR Pay. The technology allows consumers to pay their bill at restaurants, retail stores and hotels by simply scanning a QR code on the receipt or payment terminal and completing the transaction on their phone.

The solution offers secure, touch-free payment processing across a range of business types. The solution is fully integrated with several leading point-of-sale (POS) and property management systems (PMS) to provide a seamless checkout experience. The solution supports payment through Apple pay, Google pay, or by entering the card information. The FinTech has announced that no additional charge will be deducted from Shift4 clients to implement QR Pay at their business.

“As businesses across the country reopen, they will need to adapt to changing consumer preferences including a new focus on contactless technologies. We developed QR Pay to provide a completely touchless payment experience that’s secure, safe, and convenient,” said Shift4 Payments CEO Jared Isaacman.

Shift4 Payments plans to add support for built-in loyalty functionality and full ordering capabilities in upcoming software updates of the QR Pay.

Recently, Shift4 Payments took customer support measures amid COVID-19 to help ease the financial burden caused for the company’s customers.
