Singapore's ProsperUS Platform to Wind Down by End of November 2025

ProsperUS, a digital trading platform operated by CGS International, will cease operations on 30 November 2025, according to a formal announcement on its website. The company has already halted new account registrations and will begin restricting trading activity from 11 August.
"The decision has been made to consolidate our systems to provide you with a more holistic approach to your trading experiences," the platform stated in its notice, though no further details were given about the motivations behind the closure.
Launched in 2021, ProsperUS had targeted younger, tech-savvy investors by offering a wide array of financial instruments - from contracts for differences (CFDs) and mutual funds to cryptocurrencies and equity options. It had initially aimed to attract 10,000 clients in its first year, but its current performance remains unclear. Web traffic data from Similarweb suggests modest interest, with just 1,500 site visits recorded in June.
Clients will be restricted to closing their positions starting 11 August, as all trading activity transitions to "reduce only" mode. The platform plans to automatically close any remaining open positions by 3 November. Clients can transfer assets to another CGS SG platform or external brokerage without incurring fees until 17 October. After that date, standard fees will apply. The final deadline to withdraw remaining funds or request transfers is 21 November.
CGS International, the parent company, has not clarified whether ProsperUS's closure marks the end of its digital trading ambitions or if a broader restructuring is underway. The company continues to offer investment services under its main brand and has not indicated whether the move is linked to a possible sale or broader strategic shift.
The shutdown comes at a time when regulatory scrutiny around retail trading platforms is increasing across Southeast Asia. Earlier this year, Singapore announced plans to block unlicensed operators such as Octa and XM from servicing local investors.
