SIX Swiss Exchange Posts 18% MoM Increase in Trading Turnover for November 2022

The SIX Swiss Exchange (SIX), Europe's 3rd biggest stock exchange, has released its trading key figures in November 2022, showing a significant increase in trading turnover on a monthly basis.
In November 2022, the trading turnover on the exchange reached CHF 93.6 billion, an increase of 18.0% on a MoM basis, while the number of transactions decreased 0.2% to 4,706,922.
The SMI® came in at 11,127.8 points at the end of November, 2.8% more than in the previous month.
During the first eleven months of the year 2022, trading turnover on the exchange reached a total of CHF 1,128.6 billion, 4.6% less than in the corresponding period in 2021, while the number of transactions was 2.1% lower with a total of 56,842,448.
The highest turnover on a single trading day was recorded on 30 November, which saw securities worth a total volume of CHF 8.8 billion changing hands. The highest number of trades was recorded on 11 November, with 320,121.
The stock that generated the highest turnover during the reporting month was ROCHE GS with CHF 8.8 billion; NOVARTIS N was the most traded stock with 314,705 transactions.
In November, products with crypto currencies as underlyings reached a trading turnover of CHF 126.9 million (+84.5% compared to October). In total, 209 products were traded and 10,483 transactions concluded (+120.7%). The highest turnover was recorded by AETH, an ETP on Ethereum, with CHF 26.4 million; the most transactions were also recorded by AETH, with 2,551 trades.
