Slope Raises $65 Million in Latest Funding Round

California-based B2B payments platform Slope has successfully secured $65 million in its most recent funding round, led by JP Morgan Payments. This investment round includes a mix of equity and a debt facility and features participation from prominent investors such as Y Combinator, Alt Capital, and Saga Ventures.
The latest funding brings Slope's total capital raised to $252 million, divided into $77 million in equity and $175 million in debt. This substantial investment is intended to support Slope's expansion efforts and enhance its platform's capabilities. Slope plans to leverage this funding to scale its operations and integrate a new AI-driven underwriting solution, SlopeAI. This innovative tool is designed to support financial institutions and wholesalers by improving cash management, payment reconciliation, B2B checkout processes, and risk assessments for customers and vendors.
Founded in 2021, Slope has quickly established itself as a key player in the payments industry by utilizing generative AI technology. The company's platform is noted for its advanced features in cash management and payment solutions. The new investment will enable Slope to further develop its offerings and expand its reach within the industry.
"We announced our round late last year and were not looking to raise additional capital. However, working closely with JP Morgan, one of the world’s largest banks, represented a unique opportunity," said Lawrence Lin Murata, CEO and co-founder of Slope. "We are excited to join the JP Morgan Payments Partner Network, with the equity investment and debt facility helping to support future growth."
