SMTAM Partners with Virtu Financial to Boost Its Global Investment Capabilities

​Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management (SMTAM), a major Asian asset manager, has successfully implemented Virtu Financial's products to enhance its global investment capabilities. Virtu Financial is a leading provider of global, multi-asset financial services that offers liquidity and innovative, transparent products to the global markets.

SMTAM uses Virtu's Triton Valor execution management system (EMS) to access a comprehensive set of investment tools, including Algo Wheel routing, Trading Analytics, RFQ, liquidity sourcing and algorithmic equity execution. Triton Valor is a broker neutral, multi-asset EMS that integrates Virtu's advanced liquidity sourcing, execution analytics, and workflow solutions.

SMTAM also uses Virtu's global suite of equity algorithms across various regions and markets. Kenji Takeda, Head of Equity Trading Team at SMTAM, said that Virtu's products have improved their workflow significantly and that they are looking forward to expanding their use across asset classes and within Japan.
