SocGen's Crypto Unit FORGE Hires Guillaume Chatain as Head of Sales

​Societe Generale-FORGE (SG-FORGE), the crypto subsidiary of Societe Generale, has tapped former Coinbase exec Guillaume Chatain to assume the role of Head of Sales, tasking him with acquiring new customers, building partnerships, widespread the adoption of the EUR CoinVertible.

Chatain brings over two decades of sales leadership experience to the role. Most recently, he was Head of Institutional Sales EMEA and APAC at the crypto exchange Coinbase. He founded an innovative digital broker-dealer, ResonanceX, in 2017, and served as CEO till 2021. Previously, he spent approximately a decade at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, with roles including Managing Director, Head of Equities, Asia, and Equity Derivatives & Structured Products, EMEA.

SG-FORGE was the first company to obtain regulatory license approval as Digital Asset Service Provider ​with the French Financial Markets Authority in July 2023.
