Societe Generale to Boost Institutional Access to 21Shares' Crypto ETPs

Societe Generale has partnered with crypto investment firm 21Shares to act as a market maker for the company's Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded products (ETPs). The move aims to improve liquidity and execution quality for institutional investors on key fund platforms.
Under the agreement, Societe Generale will support the trading of four of 21Shares' products—ABTC, CBTC, AETH, and CETH—on platforms typically used by professional investors. The collaboration is seen as a step toward normalizing crypto exposure in traditional institutional portfolios.
Alistair Byas-Perry, 21Shares' Global Head of Capital Markets & EMEA Investment, said the partnership will help deliver "the most efficient and trusted crypto investment solutions to the market." Societe Generale's Martina Schroettle called the arrangement "a significant milestone," and emphasized the bank's intention to expand access to innovative ETPs across Europe.
