Sopra Banking Software teams up with European FinTech Tink

Digital banking and financing software provider, Sopra Banking Software has teamed up with European FinTech Tink. The partnership will allow Sopra Banking to integrate with the latter’s tech for offering new value and turn-key digital banking solutions. At the same time, Tink will utilise the company’s data aggregation, enrichment, payment initiation, and personal finance management (PFM) technology.

According to Sopra, the integration will offer it with access to a range of real-time account data for driving its digital banking solutions as well as connect to boost its open banking capabilities, going beyond PSD2 compliance. The company recently announced today that it has gone live in the Netherlands via an implementation partnership with Centric.

The Sopra Banking Platform offers retail banking functionalities and business features such as accounts, savings, lending, payment, channels, and compliance. It designs end-to-end digital banking solutions, through its engagement platform (DBEP), in a bid to allow customers to transform their bank with integrations and provide customer journeys for an enhanced end-user experience.

Eric Pasquier, CEO at Sopra Banking Software, commented, “Tomorrow’s financial services will be inter-connected, embedded, and often invisible. To differentiate, banks will increasingly need to actively connect with external third parties. Thus, combining Sopra Banking’s unique sets of retail banking solutions with Tink’s open banking technology will allow our clients to develop unique data-enabled customer experiences”.

IBS Intelligence recently reported that Tink announced an extended commercial agreement with PayPal, thus including all the countries within the European Economic Area (EEA).
