Spot Trading with BitMEX Goes Live in Hong Kong

Crypto exchange BitMEX announced yesterday that spot trading on the BitMEX Spot Exchange has been available to web based users in Hong Kong, with immediate effect. 

Now, verified users can buy, sell and trade their cryptocurrencies via a fully-fledged orderbook on BitMEX Spot.

The firm notes that some existing Hong Kong users may need to complete both identity and address verification before trading. 

Currently, BitMEX offers access to ten spot trading pairs – XBT/USDT, ETH/USDT, ETH/XBT, APE/USDT, AXS/USDT, LINK/USDT, MATIC/USDT, SOL/USDT, TRX/USDT and UNI/USDT – with more additions planned in the coming weeks and months. 

Earlier this month, Fazzaco reported that BitMEX has received registration and regulatory approval​ from the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM) in Italy as a provider of virtual currency and digital wallet services.
