Spotware Releases cTrader 5.1 Platform Update Across All Devices

Spotware, the developer of the cTrader platform, has launched cTrader 5.1, a comprehensive update impacting its mobile, web, Windows, and Mac applications. The update focuses on enhancing trading experiences, risk management tools, and algorithmic trading capabilities.

The mobile version of cTrader has been updated with a focus on "reliability, speed and ease of use," according to Spotware. The update aims to provide "greater stability" and "consistent responsiveness" across devices, intended to allow traders to execute strategies with fewer interruptions.

cTrader Web 5.1 introduces features designed to improve usability and trade management. Brokers can now embed cTrader charts directly into their websites. The platform now also includes an upgraded risk-reward tool with automatic rounding for position sizing, and cTrader Copy now restricts strategy provision to live accounts. Additional enhancements include persistent toolbar positions, improved keyboard navigation, refined submenus, and enhanced mobile gestures. Users can also upload .algo files to the Cloud for continuous automated trading with cBots.

The Windows version of cTrader 5.1 focuses on algorithmic trading, allowing users to install and compile algorithm files directly through the API. Enhanced file management tools and new UI elements, such as ColorPicker and ProgressBar, have also been added. Expanded API entities are intended to provide deeper data access.

The Mac version introduces Market Replay, a feature that allows traders to test strategies using historical tick data. Users can adjust playback speed and execute orders to evaluate outcomes. The update also introduces plugins, a new type of cTrader algorithm that enables UI customization and third-party service integration. The Active Symbol Panel (ASP) has been added to provide key market data and trading controls within the chart area.
