StanChart Head of Internal Audit Alison McFadyen and General Counsel David Fein to Retire

The international banking group Standard Chartered (StanChart) announced on Tuesday its Head of Internal Audit Alison McFadyen and General Counsel David Fein would retire on 31 March 2022, and at the end of this year, respectively.
Both of them will remain with the bank in an advisory capacity throughout 2022, with Alison continuing as a member of the StanChart Bank (UK) Board and David representing the Group in some public-private partnerships and other initiatives to fight financial crime.
Alison joined the bank in 1999, with multiple leadership roles. She has been Group Head of Internal Audit since January 2016 and prior to this role was responsible for the Supervisory Remediation Programme in New York.
David has been with the bank for more than 8 years, having developed and led the Group Legal, Corporate Secretariat and Shared Investigative Services functions, building a strong and diverse team and leading a functions-wide initiative on inclusive leadership.
“Alison and David have played important roles in our management team and as advisors to the board, making Standard Chartered a stronger and safer bank. I would like to thank them for their many contributions. I look forward to continuing to work with them as they represent the Group in new ways in 2022,” said Bill Winters, Standard Chartered Group Chief Executive. “We are well advanced in the process of selecting suitable candidates and expect to make announcements soon.”
