The bank has recruited veteran strategists Sundeep Gantori and Jonathan Liang to lead its equities and fixed-income functions, respectively.

Sundeep Gantori joins the bank as Chief Investment Officer for Equities, based in Singapore. In this role, he will oversee equity strategy and support the adoption of the CIO’s views across client and frontline channels. Gantori brings nearly two decades of experience, having previously served as CIO Equity Strategist at UBS Global Wealth Management, where his focus included global technology sectors and AI portfolios.

Jonathan Liang has been appointed as Chief Investment Officer for Fixed Income & FX, based in Hong Kong. He will lead strategy across fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities. Liang joins from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he served as Head of Asia ex-Japan Investment Specialists for the Global Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities group.

Both executives will report to Global Chief Investment Officer Steve Brice. Commenting on the appointments, Brice stated, “As we continue to invest in our business and build our capabilities, Sundeep’s and Jonathan’s vast experience will strengthen Standard Chartered’s wealth advisory capabilities.”
