Sterling Trading Tech Appoints Dave Weiss as Chief Technology Officer

Sterling Trading Tech (STT), a leading provider of professional trading technology solutions for the global equities, equity options and futures markets, announced Tuesday that it has appointed Dave Weiss as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead STT's technology and development through its next phase of maturity.

In his new role, Dave will focus on STT's innovations in OMS and Risk & Margin Solutions. Simultaneously, he will implement the new architecture framework for STT's suite of solutions and oversee the daily operations of the company's technology team.

Dave is an industry veteran with over twenty years of experience in management and trade support, having led a number of large-scale technology projects during his long tenure, such as technology integration at NYSE and trading system building at Terra Nova Trading.

Before STT, he had held key roles in several leading trading firms, including Senior Vice President, and Head of Connectivity and Trade Support at NYSE, Executive Director for ETPM Project Management Group at Morgan Stanley, and Project Lead at Marathon Asset Management. In March 2023, Dave founded a new financial service company named Qayaq LLC. His career began in 1994 as the Head of Operations at the U.S. online brokerage firm, Terra Nova Trading, a position he held until his departure in 2000.
