Sterling Trading Tech Appoints Julie Armstrong as Chief Commercial Officer

Sterling Trading Tech (Sterling), a global provider of technology solutions for order management, risk and margin, and trading, today announced the appointment of Julie Armstrong as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This newly created position is highlighted as underscoring the firm's commitment to expanding its business on a global scale.
According to Sterling, this strategic hire signals the company's transition into a new phase of accelerated growth, building on recent progress in areas such as new client segments, product development, asset class coverage expansion, and increased geographic reach.
Armstrong is described as an experienced professional in the industry, bringing extensive experience in global fintech strategy and revenue generation. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading Sterling's expansion into evolving market segments worldwide and will oversee the implementation of strategic revenue initiatives across the firm's Order Management System (OMS), Risk and Margin, and Trading Platforms, covering all asset classes globally.
Her previous roles include serving as an Independent Board Member and later as Chief Commercial Officer at ChartIQ. Prior to her time at ChartIQ, she was Executive Director, Global Head of Market Technology Services at CME Group. During her eight years at CME, she led co-location, connectivity, and software trading services, while also overseeing market data sales. She is noted for launching CME's Tech Talk series and held a Board role while helping to support the Women's Initiative Network. Earlier in her career, Armstrong was VP, Head of U.S. Sales and Implementations at RealTick (now EZE Software, a unit of SS&C Technologies).
