Steve Reich Named COO of Elk Capital Markets

Fazzaco learned that Elk Capital Markets, a proprietary high frequency trading firm, has appointed Steve Reich as its Chief Operating Officer, out of New York.

As seen on his LinkedIn profile, Steve has taken on this role since September 2023. He joined Elk Capital Markets from Hudson River Trading, a company researching and developing automated trading algorithms where he focused on digital assets business.

"I'm happy to announce that in 2023 I joined Elk Capital Markets, a firm in business for over 7 years where we are focused on expanding our electronic trading footprint across ALL markets," Steve shared on LinkedIn. "I'd like to thank the folks who worked with me at Hudson River Trading in building out a crypto trading business and I'm excited to leverage that network as I move forward with Elk Capital."

Prior to Hudson River Trading, he was Head of FX and Commodities at GTS, where he spent for over six years. Between November 2010 and September 2013, he served CME Group, the world's leading derivatives marketplace, as Chief Revenue Officer Pivot Technologies.

Earlier, Steve was CEO of FX Bridge, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder (Hotspot FX) of Cboe Global Markets. He also worked with Barclays Capital, HSBC, and Credit Suisse.
