The SET (Stock Exchange of Thailand) has published a new sustainability reporting guide to help listed companies and investors make informed decisions on sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues.

The guide aligns with SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) filing form for consolidated annual reports, as well as international norms such as the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), the SET said.
The document contains ESG metrics for eight industry groups, to be used as guidance for the disclosure of sustainability-related information with "transparency, quality and standardisation".
The guide will help ensure listed companies disclose complete and quality ESG information, and that investors can make more informed decisions, which will help build trust and confidence in the Thai capital market, said SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai.
ESG information will be displayed on an "ESG Data Platform" that is currently in development, he added.
The SET said in its three-year strategic plan, issued in January, that it planned to launch an ESG Data Platform to ensure investors were provided useful information regarding investment in sustainable stocks. ESG-related data disclosure is expected to become mandatory for companies once the platform is launched.
