StoneX Expands Institutional Services with New Securitization and Lending Platform

StoneX Group Inc., the operator of the retail trading platform Forex.com, has launched a new Securitization Banking, Lending & Capital Markets platform. This move expands its institutional services in structured finance and capital formation.
The new platform will offer clients capital markets solutions, lending capabilities, and cross-asset investment opportunities. The firm stated the launch aims to broaden its role in the institutional credit market and provide clients with additional liquidity and financing options.
In a related development, StoneX Digital has introduced a digital asset lending platform for institutional traders. This feature allows clients to access liquidity without selling their cryptocurrency holdings, using Bitcoin as initial collateral with plans to include other large-cap digital assets.
The new securitization platform builds upon StoneX's existing fixed income sales and trading business. The firm intends to leverage its market access and structured financing expertise to help clients secure liquidity across both traditional and emerging asset sectors.
The dedicated team will support global structured finance activities, including banking advisory, lending solutions, and portfolio investment, with a particular focus on non-traditional asset sectors.
"Clients are increasingly looking for partners who can help them navigate complex financing structures and unlock value across specialized asset classes," said Robert Laforte, Global Head of Fixed Income Sales at StoneX.
StoneX has been developing the platform for over a year and is actively hiring banking and analytics professionals to support its growth. To lead the initiative, the firm has appointed structured finance veteran Rob Sannicandro, who brings over two decades of experience from major Wall Street institutions.
