StoneX Global Payments Onboards SWIFT's Edward Phelps as Head of Sales Strategy

Fazzaco learned that StoneX Global Payments, a subsidiary of a diversified global brokerage and financial services firm StoneX Group, has appointed Edward Phelps as its Head of Sales Strategy. 

The unit specializes in cross-border payments to developing countries, offering tailored made foreign exchange (FX) financial services for corporates, NGOs, and financial institutions worldwide.

Phelps joined StoneX Global Payments from SWIFT, where he spent more than five years. During this period, he was focused on Business Development - Corporates first, then on Business Development - Key Accounts in January 2018. In November 2019, he started to act in Strategy - Payments role, and moved to Strategy - SME and Consumer role after over a year.

Prior to SWIFT, Phelps was at Ebury, with multiple capacities including Solutions Sales and Senior Corporate FX Sales roles.

This appointment comes after StoneX's promotion of Rana Khatlan​ to the Marketing and Events manager for EMEA region last month. Prior to this new role, Rana served the group as Marketing and Events Specialist, EMEA.
