StoneX Trading Head Alastair Hine Departs

Alastair Hine, the longtime senior retail trading executive at StoneX Group (NASDAQ:SNEX), has left the company, according to people familiar with the matter. He most recently served as Global Head of Self Directed Trading, overseeing the FOREX.com and City Index retail brokerage brands from London.

Hine joined StoneX through its 2020 acquisition of Gain Capital, where he was Chief Operating Officer at the time. He remained with StoneX as COO of the renamed Self-Directed Trading unit before being promoted last year to Global Head of Self Directed Trading, with responsibility for the FOREX.com and City Index operations.

His departure comes several weeks after City Index was rebranded as StoneX Trading under his watch.

Before his time at Gain Capital and StoneX, Hine spent 18 years at IG Group from 1999 to 2017, holding roles including Chief Information Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Innovation Officer.
