StrategyCorp adds Carol Devenny and Michelle Gagnon as senior advisors

Consulting firm StrategyCorp has strengthened its management consulting services offering with the addition of Carol Devenny and Michelle Gagnon as senior advisors.

Carol Devenny is an audit and finance advisory professional with nearly four decades of experience. She joins StrategyCorp from PwC, where she retired after a 38-year career. Devenny became a partner at the Big Four firm in 1995 and served as managing partner of the Ottawa office between 2012 and 2018.

During her extensive career, Devenny advised clients across industries on internal audit, risk management, internal controls, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings.

She has a bachelor of commerce degree from Queen’s University, and holds FCPA, FCA, CBV, CPA, and ICD.D certifications.

Michelle Gagnon is a healthcare and business sector leader whose work has focused on mobilizing knowledge to inform policy, practice, and program innovations which improve health and well-being. She joins StrategyCorp from Palix Foundation, a private foundation based in Calgary which focuses on childhood development, addiction, and mental health. Gagnon spent eight years at Palix, first serving as VP and chief operating officer before becoming president and CEO in 2015.

She has also been an adjunct professor at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary for the last seven years, and in 2017 co-founded Pemi31 Therapeutics, a biotech startup that focuses on immune therapy for inflammatory diseases.

Prior to that, Gagnon spent a decade at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where she held numerous senior roles, including director of research capacity development and director of knowledge translation. Earlier in her career, she worked as registered nurse in several university health systems.

Gagnon holds a PhD in interdisciplinary population health, an MBA, a BA, and a BS in nursing from the University of Ottawa.
