Surecomp Expands Digital Trade Finance Capabilities with ELCY Acquisition
Surecomp has completed the acquisition of ELCY Ltd, a UK-based provider of digital trade finance solutions. The deal integrates ELCY’s multi-bank platform, elcyMBP, into Surecomp’s RIVO™ ecosystem, aligning the two firms’ technological frameworks and customer bases.
Founded in 2001, ELCY has developed a presence in Europe and Asia, serving multinational corporations, particularly in the commodities sector. Its SaaS-based infrastructure, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), facilitates workflow automation and centralized bank communication. Following the acquisition, ELCY’s customers will be transitioned to Surecomp’s platform, with an emphasis on maintaining operational continuity.
Surecomp President and CEO Guy Perry stated that the transaction comes at a time of increased adoption of digital trade finance solutions. “With ELCY’s proven technology and talented team, we can further enhance our offering and continue to expertly meet the integrated end-to-end processing needs of customers across multiple industries,” he said.
ELCY founder Robin Cohen remarked that the acquisition allows the company to access Surecomp’s broader network and integrated back-office capabilities. “Being able to leverage its expertise, global reach and integrated back-office solution provides us with a platform to deliver even greater value to our clients,” Cohen said.
The deal reflects ongoing consolidation in digital trade finance technology, as firms seek to integrate complementary solutions and expand market reach. Surecomp has indicated that the integration of ELCY’s services will be structured to minimize disruption to existing clients while broadening the scope of digital trade finance offerings.
