Swiss Broker Compagnie Financière Tradition Unveils Yearly Growth in Financials for 2022

Compagnie Financière Tradition (CFT), one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products, today reported consolidated revenue in the full year of 2022 at CHF 947.4 million, rising 10.5% in constant currencies compared with CHF 873.6m in 2021. At current exchange rates, the figure presented an increase of 8.4%.
The group's consolidated adjusted revenue grew CHF 1,028.6 million to from the prior year's CHF 950.8 million, up 10.6% at constant exchange rates or 8.2% at current exchange rates. The adjusted revenue from interdealer broking business (IDB) and the forex trading business for retail investors in Japan (Non-IDB) rose 10.4% and 14.6% year-over-year respectively at constant exchange rates, while up 8.5% and 0.3% at current exchange rates, due to the weakening of the Japanese currency during the year.
For the second half of 2022, the consolidated adjusted revenue increased 13.8% at constant exchange rates on a yearly basis, with IDB up 13.9% and Non-IDB up 11.9%.
For the fourth quarter of the year, consolidated revenue went up 8.9% at constant exchange rates, or 4.8% at current exchange rates, to CHF 231.1 million from CHF 219.0 million in Q4 2021. The consolidated adjusted revenue was CHF 250.9 million, compared to that of the last same period of CHF 239.3 million, up 8.7% at constant exchange rates and 4.8% at current exchange rates. Besides, IDB and Non-IDB grew 8.8% and 5.9% at constant exchange rates. At current exchange rates, IDB was up 5.5% and Non-IDB down 11.4%.
