Swiss online banking and trading group Swissquote (SWX: SQN) has reported preliminary financial figures for 2025, pointing to a modest increase in revenue during the second half of the year and a stronger improvement in profitability.

In a brief statement, Swissquote said it expects full-year net revenues to reach at least CHF 720 million. The company generated CHF 385.2 million in revenue in the first half of 2025, implying second-half revenues of around CHF 361.8 million. This represents a roughly 1% increase compared with the first half and marks a record revenue performance for a six-month period, according to the company.

Profitability showed a sharper improvement. Pre-tax profit for the full year is expected to be close to CHF 420 million. This suggests that the second half of the year significantly outperformed the first half, which delivered pre-tax profit of CHF 185.2 million, despite broadly similar revenue levels between the two periods.

Swissquote attributed the stronger full-year profit outlook to a one-time item with a net positive impact of approximately CHF 50 million. The largest exceptional factor was the revaluation of Swissquote's original 50% stake in Yuh, following the acquisition of the remaining 50% of the business.

On the balance sheet side, client assets at Swissquote reached nearly CHF 89 billion as of 31 December 2025. Net new client inflows totaled CHF 8.5 billion over the course of the year.

Swissquote said it will publish its full audited financial results for 2025 on 19 March 2026.
