Swissquote, a Swiss online brokerage, has announced its plan to acquire PostFinance's 50% stake in Yuh, the digital finance app, making Swissquote the sole owner. This decision, unanimously agreed upon by both partners and approved by relevant authorities, comes four years after the initial establishment of Yuh as a joint venture.

The acquisition is expected to allow Yuh to continue its expansion strategy more efficiently under Swissquote's full support. Swissquote highlighted that Yuh's product and service offerings complement its own. For its part, PostFinance stated it would enhance its focus on strategic core competencies and the development of its high-priority business units in a challenging market environment.

Swissquote previously reported that Yuh turned profitable in 2024, recording a net profit of CHF 1.7 million. As of June 30, 2025, Yuh managed CHF 3.2 billion (USD $4.0 billion) in assets across 342,369 accounts. The transaction values Yuh at CHF 180 million (USD $227 million), with Swissquote partially paying the purchase price in treasury shares, which is expected to strengthen PostFinance's existing 5% stake in Swissquote.

Marc Bürki, CEO of Swissquote, noted, "Today's step allows us to integrate Yuh optimally into our overall offering, and expands our support to over one million accounts (30 June 2025: 1,050,762 accounts), a development which is expected to have a positive impact on Swissquote's market perception. The full acquisition of Yuh will further enable Swissquote to capitalise on the inherent synergies between the two companies."
