The new data centre is intended to enhance data access and disclosure transparency, while also promoting the use of open data for development, innovation and decision-making, the SEC said.
The data centre provides information on business operators, licensed individuals, and the products available – including equities, debentures, mutual funds and digital assets.
The SEC said it launched the data portal in response to market needs and seeks to promote a sustainable and transparent Thai capital market in line with the government's digital policy.
The portal includes visualisations of key figures and overall statistics in an easy-to-understand format. The datasets are also machine readable and searchable for easier analysis and further use by developers in designing new products.
The new portal, accessible here, is available to any capital market stakeholders, including educational institutions, researchers, system developers, business operators and investors.
