The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission) announced that it has banned TS'O Jing, former account manager of China CITIC Bank (CITIC), from engaging in financial and other related fields for life.
The Hong Kong Oriental Magistrates' Court ruled that between May 2016 and January 2017, TS'O, who was in charge of handling the accounts of CITIC customers at the time, told seven customers that they had to pay CITIC customers the additional fees for opening an account.
TS'O Jing put the extra fee paid by the customer into her pocket five times and forged the receipt.
The Securities Regulatory Commission believes that TS'O Jing can no longer engage in related work or conduct any regulated activities.
TS'O Jing was convicted of seven counts of fraud and violated Article 16A of the Theft Ordinance. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, suspended for two years, and ordered to compensate the victims totaling US$6,5100.
