ThinkMarkets Introduces OTP Security Feature to Fight Fraudulent Calls

FCA and ASIC-regulated multi-asset online broker ThinkMarkets has announced the implement of a one-time password (OTP) security feature to help its clients reduce the risk of fraudulent calls.

According to the announcement, users can now request for an OTP from a caller claiming to be a representative of ThinkMarkets and input the OTP into their ThinkPortal to validate the speakers’ identity, which helps clients account hijackings and improves the security of their assets and data.

Strengthening online trading security is a necessary step for ThinkMarkets to further develop its online trading. Last May, the online broker delivered a new web version for its proprietary trading platform, ThinkTrader, closely following the addition of 5 new Crypto CFDs​ and over 2500 US-listed shares and ETFs​ to its trading list.

And in Last October, the firm obtained a license in Cyprus​ through the acquisition of a local licensed entity, A-Conversio Capital Ltd, which has been rebranded to TF Global Markets (Europe) Ltd now, for the purpose of serving its clients in the EU region from the Cyprus office.
