ThinkMarkets Promotes Alexander Kolchev as Chief Technology Officer

Fazzaco learned that ThinkMarkets, an online brokerage firm with headquarters in London and Melbourne, has promoted Alexander Kolchev as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Alexander has over ten years of technology experience. As seen on his Linkedin profile, he originally joined ThinkMarkets in 2020 as Director of Technology for Europe. Then, he reached the position of Director of Technology for the entire company, a role he held up until this month, paving the way for his promotion.

Prior to joining ThinkMarkets, Alexander had an eight-month stint at DXC Technology as Chapter Manager for Apps Development and Integration. Before that, he was the Head of Software Development at Smart IT, where he joined in 2014 as a Software Developer. Alexander started his career in 2012, working as a Software Developer at Iphos IT Solutions GmbH.

Having spent more than a decade in the market, ThinkMarkets has an impressive retail trading offering including FX, CFDs, commodities and cryptocurrencies, and branched into liquidity provision via its prime broker partnerships last year. Earlier this year, the broker has delivered a new web version for its proprietary trading platform ThinkTrader, which can be used now on major internet browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
