From his roots in Long Island to building a regulated multi-asset broker in the Cayman Islands, Furey made it clear that in the highly competitive online trading industry, success is not about talent or perfect timing — it’s about consistency, discipline, and the ability to endure.

The Origin of a Winning Mindset

Son of high school teachers, Tim always felt he was “wired differently.” While playing American football and rugby at Southern Connecticut State University, a mentor instilled in him the mantra that would become the driving force of his life:

“Hungry dogs run faster.”

After successfully growing a previous company and not receiving the compensation he had been promised, Furey made a life-changing decision. Fueled by his former partners’ challenge — “What are you going to do about it?” — he founded **Tradeview Markets** in 2004 together with three friends from the Old Blue rugby club. Operating from a small Wall Street office and investing all the capital he had, the company became profitable from the very first month.

“We started celebrating every new client… from 10 to 100, then 1,000. It was pure organic growth driven by passion and focus,” Furey recalled.

Today, Tradeview Markets provides traders and institutional clients with multi-asset access — including Forex, Stocks, Futures, Commodities, and Cryptocurrencies — with 24-hour execution through advanced platforms, all in one place.

The Ultimate Test

While in the middle of strong international expansion — with a major push into **Dubai**, the new global financial hub — Tim faced the toughest battle of his life. A routine throat infection turned into a life-threatening emergency. A failed intubation led to an emergency tracheotomy. His oxygen levels dropped to 30% for seven minutes. He was in a coma for three days, and doctors warned his family of possible severe neurological damage.

Against all odds, Tim woke up. In that critical moment, he remembered the brutal summer football practices and told himself: “If I survived that, this is nothing.”

That experience strengthened his core philosophy: challenges will come, but what matters is being ready to get back up stronger.

Building Momentum for the Next Level

Far from thinking about retirement, Furey — now in his 50s — states with conviction:

“I could have retired yesterday… but no. Right now I have momentum. I’m taking this company to the next level.”

Tradeview Markets is advancing toward its goal of becoming a **billion-dollar company**, with plans for new offices, additional regulatory licenses, and innovative products throughout 2025.

In addition to his business leadership, Tim remains deeply committed to the community, actively supporting women’s rugby in the Cayman Islands and helping transform the lives of hundreds of young girls.

The interview with Tim Furey, aired on Bloomberg TV, serves as a powerful reminder to all professionals in the Forex and fintech sectors: in such a demanding industry, what truly makes the difference is the discipline and consistency to stay in the game long enough to win.

“It’s not about talent. It’s not about timing. It’s about discipline and long-term consistency.”
