TIOmarkets Appoints Andis Papageorgiou as CTO

TIOmarkets has appointed Andis Papageorgiou as its new Chief Technology Officer, according to FX News Group. Papageorgiou, who is based in Cyprus, joined the retail FX and CFDs broker earlier this year as Head of Software Engineering before being named CTO.

Prior to joining TIOmarkets, Papageorgiou spent six years at IC Markets, where he ended his tenure late last year as Global Head of Engineering.

TIOmarkets operates an onshore FCA-regulated business at tiomarkets.uk and an offshore unit domiciled in Mwali at tiomarkets.com. The group recently shut its EU-facing operation at tiomarkets.eu after renouncing its CySEC CIF license for Tiomarkets CY Ltd. The company is led by Cyprus-based Group CEO Stefanos Mitsi and is controlled by Malaysian businessman Manmohan Singh Balbir Singh, who also owns Cyprus-based retail FX broker FXPrimus.
