TMX Group Reports 13% Jump in Revenues during Q2 2021

TMX Group Limited, a Canadian financial services company that operates equities, fixed income, derivatives, and energy markets exchanges, has released its trading volumes for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021.
According to the official figures, the revenue on the platform for the period came in at $245.0 million, showing an increase of 13 percent on a year-over-year basis. The revenue was $217.7 million in Q2/20.
TMX Group' net income reached $77.3 million, which is 14 percent higher compared to the same period in 2020. In addition, the exchange operator saw its adjusted net income increased by 24 percent from $86.6 million in Q2/20 to $107.1 million in Q2/21.
Furthermore, the basic earnings per share increased 15% from $1.20 in Q2/20 to $1.38 in this quarter. And the adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $1.90, up 25% over $1.52 in Q2/20.

Earlier, TMX Group has issued financial results for the first quarter 2021, seeing an increase of 14% in revenue from $220.3 million in Q1 2020 to $252.0 million.
