Tokyo Stock Exchange Launches API Services to Distribute Disclosure Information

​Japan Exchange Group (JPX) today announced that its subsidiary Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) will launch a new service to distribute real-time disclosure information and Stock Price in Web-API format on 1 February 2021 in order to bring greater convenience of market data distributed by TSE to market participants.

This service offers via the Internet real-time disclosure information of all listed companies in Japan as well as last sales information of listed shares on markets including TSE, Fukuoka Stock Exchange, and Sapporo Securities Exchange directly from TSE's information distribution system.

TSE will introduce a pay-as-you-go fee schedule for external distribution of last sales information by information vendors. Usage fees are determined depending on the number and frequency of issues acquired for Last Sales Information.
As the use of the new API services will create an environment in which it is easy to acquire market data, TSE hopes that fintech firms will leverage opportunities brought by the convenience to create new investment-related information services. TSE also expects that financial institutions will further digitize business processes, and financial research institutes will revitalize analytical operations.
