Tools for Brokers Former Director Joins Prop Firm FunderPro

Malta-based prop trading firm FunderPro has appointed Petros Kalaitzis as its new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Kalaitzis brings over a decade of extensive experience in the fintech and trading sectors to his new role.

Kalaitzis transitions to FunderPro after nearly two years with broker technology provider Tools for Brokers, where he served as Managing Director and head of the Cyprus office. During his tenure, he played a significant role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and driving growth across EMENA.

Before his time at Tools for Brokers, Kalaitzis held various key positions including Chief Experience Officer at NAGA Group, Head of Client Services at Tickmill, and Manager of Retail and Corporate Sales at Saxo Bank Cyprus. He began his FX industry career as a Dealer at eToro in 2012 and has accumulated a wealth of experience in both prop trading and broker services.

At FunderPro, Kalaitzis will oversee the Operations and Marketing departments, ensuring that all initiatives align with the company’s long-term vision and immediate objectives. Speaking about his new role, Kalaitzis expressed enthusiasm for joining FunderPro at a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory.

It has grown to a reasonable scale, things have stabilized, and we now enter the second phase of growth to reach the top of the industry. FunderPro is part of a larger group of fintech companies, including Netrios, a “broker as a service” and “prop as a service” technology firm, and Red Acre, an IT-for-brokers services company. Both are led by former BDSwiss CEO Nicolas Shamtanis. The group also includes brands such as TradeLocker, Zeply, Cryptopanic, and Cryptochill.
