TP ICAP Partners with Chainlink to Introduce FX Pricing Data to Blockchain

TP ICAP, a world leading provider of market infrastructure, and Chainlink Labs, a Web3 services provider, announced a joint statement on Thursday, stating that TP ICAP has joined the Chainlink network to provide institutional-grade forex pricing for the blockchain ecosystem.
According to the announcement, TP ICAP will offer forex data for more than 950 currency pairs to Chainlink decentralized oracle networks (DONs) through its Parameta Solutions, a data and analytics division and FCA-authorized benchmark administrator.
Under the partnership, Chainlink will be allowed access to TP ICAP's OTC content, as well as insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices and pre-and post-trade data.
Yaser Jazouane, Head of Data Products at Chainlink Labs, said: "Historically, Web3 innovation has been fueled by the introduction of high-quality market data from premium data providers such as TP ICAP. The addition of TP ICAP's institutional-grade forex pricing data to Chainlink helps enhance the security, accuracy, and utility of blockchain applications."
Rhys Spencer, Head of APAC Sales of Parameta Solutions, said: "The innovation of blockchains and cryptocurrencies has catalysed a whole new breed of distributed systems that need access to reliable real-world information, and Chainlink is currently the leading oracle service provider for the on-chain ecosystem. Parameta Solutions recognises this global requirement and is well positioned to be part of what could be a generational upgrade to market infrastructure and data solutions."
TP ICAP entered the crypto field in 2021. At the end of last year, Fusion Digital Assets, the company's wholesale marketplace for spot cryptoassets, has obtained FCA's approval to provide crypto trading services in the country.
