Trade Nation acquiring FXCM UK client book

FCA-regulated broker Trade Nation has agreed to acquire the UK retail and professional client accounts of Stratos Markets Limited, which operates as FXCM and Tradu in the UK. The transfer is expected to complete in late November 2026, according to the company.

FXCM UK is due to email clients their options on Tuesday. Clients have until November 5 to opt out through FXCM UK. Those opting out must close their positions and withdraw their funds; withdrawing funds alone will not stop the transfer.

Under the transfer timetable, FXCM accounts are scheduled to close shortly after 10pm GMT on November 20. Open positions will be closed before balances move. New Trade Nation accounts and funds are due to be ready when markets open at 10.05pm GMT on November 22. Inactive accounts may move during the week starting November 16.

Cash balances will transfer automatically and in full, with client money held in segregated accounts at Tier 1 UK banks throughout. Clients do not need to open new accounts themselves.

Trading Station II accounts will move to TN Trader. MT4 CFD accounts will stay on MT4, but MT4 spread betting accounts will move to TN Trader because Trade Nation does not offer that product on MT4.

Clients will move onto Trade Nation’s terms and pricing, with fixed spreads available on core markets on TN Trader and TradingView and no separate commission.

The agreement follows earlier sale speculation around FXCM. The UK client book was one potential attraction for buyers.
