TradersYard Abandons Social Network Plans to Focus on Prop Trading

​Prop trading firm TradersYard has decided to step away from its initial vision of creating a social network for traders, as announced via the company's LinkedIn profile. This shift, reportedly due to the complexities involved, will allow the firm to concentrate on developing prop trading challenges - a move that aligns more closely with its expertise and core interests.

According to an official statement, TradersYard is looking to simplify its operations and stay true to its roots in trading. "This new focus gives us a chance to do what we do best," the company shared. The firm acknowledged that while the social platform idea initially generated excitement, it ultimately proved to be beyond the manageable scope.

The pivot is expected to streamline resources, with the code initially intended for the social platform now being repurposed for the prop trading project. TradersYard believes this approach will expedite the release of a minimum viable product and ensure it is well-tested before launch. "All the work we put into the social network won't go to waste," the company emphasized, highlighting the efficiency gained by concentrating on a singular goal.
