Tradeweb Introduces Spotlight Dealer Diversity Program

Tradeweb Markets, a leading, global operator of electronic marketplaces for rates, credit, equities and money markets, has rolled out its Spotlight Dealer Diversity Program, which is designed to promote diverse dealers on the Tradeweb platform.
So far, 14 financial companies have joined in the Program, including Multi-Bank Securities, Inc., Great Pacific Securities, Mischler Financial Group, Bancroft Capital, LLC, among others.

According to the official press release, the Program supports the advancement of Tradeweb’s diverse dealer community through a combination of individual dealer profiles, direct consultation and other promotion programs designed to bring more visibility to diverse dealers operating in electronic markets. Besides, the company has cemented its request-for-quote (RFQ) trading workflow, so as to more prominently expose diverse dealer liquidity to its participating buy-side clients. This furthers engagement between diverse dealers and buy-side users on the platform.
The first protocol enhancement the firm is launching under the Program is aimed at RFQ users on its U.S. Credit platform, the ultimate trading platform for improving overall performance and gaining a competitive edge in corporate bonds, credit derivatives, municipals, emerging markets and total return swaps.
"This enhanced workflow for U.S. Credit will provide an added level of choice and control in the way buy-side users trade. Buy-side users can access competitive pricing through Tradeweb's RFQ process while strengthening their long-term relationships with diverse dealers," Chris Bruner, Managing Director and Head of U.S. Institutional Fixed Income at Tradeweb, noted.
The Spotlight Dealer Diversity Program was developed over the last year with feedback from members of the buy-side and dealer communities, and it is expected to expand to include additional asset classes, protocols and promotional initiatives in the future.
Earlier this month, Fazzaco reported that FXall and Tradeweb have formed a partnership to develop hedging workflow solutions to allow emerging market products to be traded more efficiently.
