TradeZero Appoints Ila Jehl and Colette Rex to Lead its Clearing Business

Fazzaco learned that TradeZero, an online broker and stock trading platform, has further expanded services and profit centers for its subsidiaries with the latest hire of Ila Jehl III and Colette Rex as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), respectively, of its securities clearing business.
Mr Jehl joins TradeZero from Futu Holdings, a US-listed Chinese online brokerage, where he served as CEO of Futu Clearing Inc. Prior to this, he was the founder and CEO of MB Trading in London and Canada. Over the course of his career, he also served as CEO of TradeOptimizer Group Inc., which managed the technology and algorithm systems for KIP Management. Additionally, Mr Jehl has spent for 12 years with clearing firm Penson Worldwide.
Prior to joining TradeZero, Ms Rex most recently served as COO of Futu Clearing. Before this role, she was the EVP of Operations at Axos Clearing, and was an operations manager with Morgan Stanley and Grandview Group. Earlier in her career, she held VP positions with AXA Advisors, LLC, The MONY Group and the Pershing division of BNY Mellon Bank.
The latest appointments comes at a time when TradeZero continued its recruiting drive. As Fazzaco previously announced, the broker has named Andrew Koslow as its new General Counsel, and Joshua Choi at its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
In October, TradeZero stated that it will become a public traded company through a business combination with Dune Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company. These executive moves mentioned above may be related to the company's plans to go public.
The broker has onboarded two former executives of Futu Clearing to lead its soon-to-be-launched securities clearing business, which shows its determination and ambition to enter clearing market.
