Trading 212, CMC Markets, OKX and Other Four Companies Are Hiring Now

2023 experienced myriad ups and downs in terms of the global economy, and as it ebbed and flowed, so did the job market. This trend is still continuing.

This week, UBS Group is letting go employees from Credit Suisse's investment bank in New York. Apart from this, the Swiss bank planned to shut down Credit Suisse's office in Houston.

In the fintech industry, following sacking dozens of its 370 employees in Israel in January, Finastra is carrying out a new round of layoffs at the branch.

Israel-based Vestto, which uses artificial intelligence technology to connect the insurance industry and capital markets, is trimming 75% of its headcount. And the firm is windng down its offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul.

In addition, corporate bond trading platform LedgerEdge​ has went under just a year after its live launch. The company founder attributed the bankruptcy to the "extremely challenging funding environment".

Given the state of the broader economy, the current employment environment is far from ideal. 1. Trading 212 - Compliance Officer

The online Forex and CFD broker Trading 212 is looking for a Compliance Officer, who will report directly to the Head Compliance Officer of the company.

Job requirements:

• Law Degree (LLB or LLM)

• CySEC Advanced certification (CySEC AML certification considered as plus)

• 1-2 years’ experience in a compliance related role in an EU investment Firm

• Detailed knowledge of laws and regulations affecting business operations

• Ability to interpret and advise on the application of various laws and regulations

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Greek

2. CMC Markets -  Custody Manager

CMC Markets, a leading global provider of financial spread betting and CFDs, is looking for a Custody Manager who will form part of the Business Operations management team and will be responsible for operational management of CMC’s Custodians.

Job requirements:

• Sound financial markets experience, ideally in an Equity Settlements or Operation Supervisor role with a broker / agency business

• Must have a thorough understanding of Global Equity Settlements in all the following market: UK, US, Europe and APAC

• Experience in dealing with Netting and Payment Order Types (SPOs)

• Experience with Crest, Euroclear and DTC settlements agents

• Sound understanding of CASS and associated implications

• IT competent, particularly MS Office

3. OKX - HR Operations Manager (People Analytics)

The world's second largest crypto exchange by volume OKX is seeking a HR Operations Manager (People Analytics). In this role you will execute all frontline processes and policies as it pertains to the Global HR Operations. You’ll be heavily involved in the daily HR operation.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3 years of HR Operation experience in a fast-paced environment

4. HSBC - Bilingual Service and Sales Specialist (French and English)

HSBC is looking for a Bilingual Service and Sales Specialist (French and English), who will be based in Vancouver.

The role is part of a team that rotates shifts to accommodate business needs. Shifts vary between 6 am and 6 pm PST from Monday to Friday. These can be done flexibly through a hybrid working model (home and office).
