Trading Technologies Expands TT FX Platform for Institutional Traders
Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT) has announced a significant expansion of its TT FX platform, introducing new features tailored for institutional foreign exchange and precious metals traders. The update aims to deliver comprehensive over-the-counter trading capabilities through a unified system.
The expansion broadens TT's FX product coverage to include forwards, non-deliverable forwards, and swaps alongside spot FX. It also integrates liquidity from additional bank and non-bank providers. This enhancement allows clients to access deeper liquidity pools and trade FX, futures, and precious metals from a single interface within TT's execution management system, either directly or via bank algorithms.
Key features of the upgraded platform include multi-asset execution for FX products, futures, and metals, and integrated advanced order types. The Autospreader tool facilitates multi-asset spread execution, while a dedicated user interface is designed for high-velocity currency markets. The platform runs on a low-latency infrastructure and offers a unified post-trade workflow.
Tomo Tokuyama, EVP and Managing Director of FX at TT, stated the goal was to integrate FX seamlessly into the existing trading workflow. He noted that traders can now execute FX using the same tools and screens as futures trading. Tokuyama highlighted that bringing bank FX algorithms into the same interface as futures algorithms increases cross-asset efficiency, enabling complex strategies like trading rate basis spreads while managing currency exposure in a single workflow.
