Tradition America Holdings Completes Acquisition of Euronext's MTS Markets International

Fazzaco learned that Swiss interdealer broker Compagnie Financière Tradition's subsidiary Tradition America Holdings Inc. has completed the acquisition of MTS Markets International Inc. (MMI), the US subsidiary of MTS S.p.A.

MTS S.p.A is a leading European bond trading platform majority-owned by Euronext. MMI is the operator of MTS BondsPro, an electronic credit trading system that operates on independent technology and offers access to liquidity and real-time execution on its anonymous, all-to-all order book. MMI joined Euronext in 2021 as part of the acquisition of Borsa Italiana.

​According to the official press release, the sale of MMI was implemented as a result of the conclusion of a strategic review initiated following the integration of Borsa Italiana and the decision to divest from non-core assets.

Global Growth

Compagnie Financière Tradition activity grew strongly during the third quarter 2022 with reported consolidated revenue of CHF 232.4m compared with CHF 202.6m in 2021, representing an increase of 19.2% at constant exchange rates (an increase of 14.7% at current exchange rates).

​Over the first nine months of the year, reported consolidated revenue was CHF 716.3m compared with CHF 654.6m in the same period in 2021.
