Traze CEO Erkin Kamran Steps Down After Two-Year Tenure

Dubai-based CFDs broker Traze has announced the departure of its chief executive officer, Erkin Kamran, who confirmed his decision in a personal social media post. Kamran, who also served as CTO and CPO of parent company Zeal Group, had been with the firm for the past two years.
During his tenure, Kamran oversaw key milestones for the company, including Traze Securities LLC obtaining a full Category One License from the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority earlier this year. The approval positioned Traze as a top-tier regulated broker in the UAE, a point Kamran highlighted in his farewell message.
"Incredibly proud of how much we shipped in a short time with the team—launching and growing a top-tier regulated broker in UAE and proving what focused execution can deliver," he wrote, thanking colleagues for their "trust, commitment and camaraderie."
Traze is part of Zeal Group, which also operates the ZFX online trading brand and maintains licenses across multiple jurisdictions, including South Africa and the UK, as well as offshore operations in Seychelles.
Kamran brought extensive industry experience to the role. Prior to joining Traze, he founded and built CRYT, a multi-licensed spot and derivatives crypto exchange with EU authorization. He previously served as EMEA Head of Operations and Business Development at FX technology provider MarketFactory and as Head of Trading at EQONEX Group.
Looking ahead, Kamran revealed that he is already working on a new venture "at the intersection of tradfi and web3." While still in stealth, he described it as a project aimed at tackling inefficiencies in trading and fintech.
