Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the social media firm led by U.S. President Donald Trump, announced on Tuesday a binding agreement to introduce a range of retail investment products, including cryptocurrency offerings. This move represents the company's latest effort to diversify into financial services.

The planned offerings, which include a series of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) structured to align with what are described as "Trump's America First policies," follow a preliminary agreement reached last month. That initial agreement was reported to be between Trump Media, digital asset platform Crypto.com, its affiliate Foris LLC, and Yorkville America Digital, an affiliate of New Jersey-based investment advisory and asset management firm Yorkville Advisors.

TMTG, which operates the Truth Social platform, stated that the funds are expected to launch later this year, pending necessary regulatory approval. The company indicated that the products are planned to be widely available in the United States and internationally. As of the announcement, no related ETF filings had been submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website.

Devin Nunes, CEO of Trump Media, was quoted in a press release saying, "We look forward to bringing ETFs to the market for investors who believe both the American economy and digital assets are poised for tremendous growth."

In related news reported on March 27, Crypto.com stated that the SEC had informed the company that the agency had officially closed a 2024 investigation into Crypto.com and would not file any enforcement action against it.

Requests for comment from Trump Media, Crypto.com, Foris, and Yorkville did not receive immediate responses.

The announcement comes amidst other recent activities by the Trump family in the cryptocurrency space, which have reportedly resulted in significant financial gains. These activities include Trump-branded NFTs, a meme coin, an investment in a newly formed bitcoin producer called American Bitcoin, and the cryptocurrency exchange World Liberty Financial.

Separately, the Trump Organization announced in January that the former president's investments, assets, and business interests, including his reported $2.7 billion stake in Trump Media, would be held in a trust managed by his children. Under this arrangement, he is not expected to play a role in day-to-day operations or decision-making regarding these interests.

The market already includes a limited number of ETFs with investment strategies described as aligning with policies associated with Donald Trump. These include the American Conservative Values ETF (ACVF.P), which launched in October 2022 and holds $110 million in assets, and the God Bless America ETF (YALL.P), launched in the same month, which describes itself online as "an investment for God-fearing, flag-waving conservatives" and manages $79.4 million in assets.
