Trust Payments Names Laurence Booth as CEO

Trust Payments has appointed Laurence Booth as its new CEO following a rigorous selection process. Booth, who has served as interim CEO since September, officially succeeds Daniel Holden, the company's long-time leader. With over two decades of experience in payments and financial services, including a 16-year tenure at American Express, Booth brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
Since joining Trust Payments in 2021, Booth has held senior roles such as Chief Data Officer and Chief Information Officer. His strategic vision and deep understanding of the sector earned him unanimous support from the board. "Booth laid out a compelling roadmap for the future of the business and has demonstrated a consistent focus on shareholder value," said Sir Mike Rake, independent senior non-executive director.
Trust Payments, founded in 1997, provides a comprehensive suite of payment solutions, including online and mobile payments, POS systems, and payment analytics. As Booth takes the helm, the company looks to strengthen its position in the competitive paytech market while continuing to deliver innovative solutions to its global client base.
