Trustly Names Henrik Wallström as New CTO for European Operations

Swedish open banking paytech Trustly has appointed Henrik Wallström as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for its European operations. Wallström brings a strong background in fintech and technology innovation, with prior roles at Stockholm-based communications platform Sinch and Swedish fintech Klarna, where he is noted for launching its consumer growth domain. Earlier in his career, he worked at Nasdaq as a software engineer and founded Finsit, a business intelligence platform for accounting data.

Trustly's CEO Johan Tjärnberg welcomed Wallström's appointment, emphasizing the strategic timing as Trustly enters "its next phase of growth in the months ahead." Trustly also noted that Wallström will be "instrumental in driving continued innovation and growth" as part of the company's European operations.

This appointment is the latest in a series of executive changes at Trustly, following recent additions of Annika Poutiainen as Chief Legal Officer, Georg Kaltenbrunner as Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, and Adam Miller as Group CFO. Miller, the most recent executive hire, joined in October after serving as CFO at Deliveroo, where he led the company's listing on the London Stock Exchange.
