UBS and LSEG Deepen Tech Partnership to Enhance Data and Innovation

UBS Group AG and the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) have announced a multi-year strategic partnership aimed at upgrading UBS's global data infrastructure and driving innovation across its business lines. The agreement, revealed on Tuesday, marks a significant expansion of an existing relationship between the two financial giants.
Under the deal, UBS will adopt LSEG's comprehensive suite of data and analytics solutions, covering all major asset classes and business functions throughout the full trade lifecycle. The collaboration is designed to support UBS's integration program and broader strategic growth plans, particularly in the areas of data governance, accessibility, and cataloguing.
"This expanded partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and delivering differentiated value to our clients," said UBS Group CEO Sergio Ermotti. UBS anticipates that the implementation will generate operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve service precision across its client offerings.
A key element of the partnership includes the integration of next-generation capabilities available through LSEG Workspace - a modernized platform that features AI-powered modeling tools, cloud-native analytics, and improved interoperability with widely used productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams and Excel.
LSEG CEO David Schwimmer emphasized the strategic alignment of the partnership, noting that it supports both firms' ambitions to address evolving client needs and advance sustainable, long-term growth. "We look forward to working closely with UBS to enable mutual, sustainable growth for both organisations, and the wider market," he stated.
The deal underscores the growing importance of scalable, high-performance data solutions in the financial services industry, as firms race to modernize legacy infrastructure in pursuit of agility and client responsiveness.
