UK Digital Bank Zopa Names Graham Robinson as Its New Chief Risk Officer

Fazzaco learned that FCA-regulated digital bank Zopa has appointed Graham Robinson as its new Chief Risk Officer, with remits of developing the company’s product offering and strengthening its risk capabilities as it continues to grow.
Robinson joins Zopa from the bank Capital One, where he has spent over 15 years, with a multitude leadership roles and ending up with Head of Digital, UK. He also held the position of Director of Credit Risk at Monzo Bank, and Director of Collections Strategy and Digital at Lowell Group, one of the largest credit management companies in Europe. In addition, Robinson graduated from the University of Cambridge, with a degree of Master of Engineering.
Established in 2005, Zopa operates as one of the oldest peer-to-peer lenders, to give people access to simpler, better-value loans and investments.
Last month, Fazzaco reported that Zopa has raised $300 million (£220 million) in a new funding round led by Softbank's Vision Fund 2 as it looks to continue its rapid growth.
