UK FCA Cancels First Money Services’ Small Payment Institution Registration
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has cancelled the registration of First Money Services Ltd as a Small Payment Institution.
According to the regulator, the firm failed to provide payment services within 12 months of becoming registered and no longer meets the conditions for registration under the Payment Services Regulations.
The FCA said the company did not comply with the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017, as it was not included on the required anti-money laundering register. The firm also reported providing payment services after its registration with HM Revenue & Customs had ended.
The FCA stated that the cancellation was imposed to support its consumer protection and market integrity objectives.
The registration cancellation took effect on December 22, 2025.
